Our Translation Workflow

At Global Insights Translation Services, we offer a fully customized service carried out by our team of translation & localization specialists. Although our workflow can be adapted to the client’s needs or preferences, our standard translation process involves a series of steps that we follow to ensure the highest quality and the utmost accuracy in our language services while conveying the meaning of the original texts.
  • Preparation: When the client sends files to be translated, we analyze the text type, the target audience, the purpose of the text (or the skopos), and the format. If there are client’s instructions, we read these instructions carefully to follow them throughout the translation process. If the client does not provide a glossary, at this stage, we will create one for consistency, especially if there is more than one translator working on the project. Then, we choose a specialized team of translators, editors, and proofreaders for this project. We select those professionals from our team that best meet the skills needed for the project at hand, based on their field of expertise, in order to provide the best translation service within the deadline.
  • TEP Process:
    • Translation: The files are translated by native and expert translators who will follow the instructions, taking into account the conveyed message in the original text as well as the target audience.
    • Editing: The source text is compared to the target text by an expert editor who will check completeness, accuracy, style, register, consistency, readability.
    • Proofreading: An experienced proofreader will examine the text to identify spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation errors, typos, and other mistakes.
  • Formatting: In this step, the format of the target text is checked to see if there is consistency in fonts, bullets, spacing, margins, tables, graphics, and colors. If it is necessary, files can be edited by our DTP (Desktop Publishing) specialists.
  • Quality Assurance: Before delivering the translated files, we perform an internal quality check to ensure that instructions were followed, glossaries were used, and requirements were met.
  • Delivery: The translated files are sent to the client in the agreed format and within the agreed deadline.
  • Post-delivery QA: We ask our clients for feedback to know if they are satisfied with our work. In case there is something to fix or change, we will do it free of charge.
